Although the weather has been a bit of a let-down so far this summer (understatement of the century!)  we still love this time of year! Longer days and lighter mornings mean extra time for eating choc. 🍫

Hooray! Team D&D have loads of choc-filled fun times planned for the coming months, so we thought we’d let you join in too.

Here are the top non-choc activities that we'll be getting up to over the next few weeks!

London's Inner city Beach Club at Victoria Docks.
Does being dragged around by a cable in stunning surroundings sound like your cuppa tea? Then we've got just the rec for you 😏 Find your inner sporting hero and take your mates wakeboarding or stand up paddle boarding 🏄 followed by a sunset drink in the Shack overlooking the river. And after all that exercise, you'll definitely deserve a bar or two of delish choc.

Find your inner mermaid in Hampstead Bathing Ponds 🐟 🐬
Take a stroll through the tree lined woodland paths before arriving at the idyllic pools. Perfect for keeping fit, sunbathing, or just having a few underwater handstand comps!

Farmopolis 🐖🌿

Plant lovers, unite! We’re a pretty green-fingered bunch at D&D (there’s current talk of installing an herb garden in the office), so when we heard about The Great Plant Rescue, we could barely contain our excitement. The Jetty at Greenwich Peninsula is to be transformed into a floating garden called Farmopolis. It’s full of recently homeless plants following The Chelsea Flower Show, and the space will be home to supperclubs, workshops, live music and theatre. Be there or be square.

Cocktails in the City

If you like cocktails, and sunshine, and general merriment (of course you do, D&D lovers are the funnest people around!) then don’t waste another second before buying tickets to the London summer edition of Cocktails in the City. We’ll see you there, and ours is a gin and tonic! 🍸

Franks Campari Bar

With insane views over London you can’t beat Franks for a late afternoon tipple. They also serve delish food but get there early as the tables fill up like swimming pools in a monsoon. Take a cardy as it can get also get pretty breezy. Perfect for after work drinks or a spot to while away the weekend before Sunday becomes Smonday

So there you have it, the comprehensive D&D guide to enjoying summer in the city. Now get out there and frolic in the sunshine with chocolate in both hands.
